After you have finished and posted your character's profile, you are free to begin roleplaying in our world so long as you keep in mind that it is possible the staff may ask you to change some things if they believe the character to be too powerful or too unusual to fit within the site theme. Please read the character restrictions thread for an idea of what we would prefer our members to not have in their character creations. We also have some advice on character creation in our Newbie Guide.
If you post a character profile and have not finished it, but you want to roleplay, you must finish it within two weeks of roleplaying!
Absolutely no plagiarism will be tolerated. Tur is geared to maximize your artistic freedom - so use your imagination and write something original!
While the site is 18+, we would like the character applications to remain clean. No vulgarity or graphic detail of violence and controversial themes allowed. (if events like these are crucial to the background story, of course they can be mentioned, but no graphic detail about them)
Important points that need to be understood: Remember - a profile isn't an essay (although if you'd like to, you're certainly free to do so). Try to ground your character in the setting as well as possible. You have great freedom in writing characters, but don't abuse it! Do your best to avoid cliches, imitations, as well as ideas that don't go well with the setting. We're not nazis. We probably have one of the most liberated application systems in the internets. All we kindly ask from you is to make use of some effort and time to really mesh with the setting. Feel free to PM the admin team for help; we're more than glad to. Lastly, sure it's nifty dreaming up not only interesting abilities and characteristics, but what makes for a memorable, fun time in the long term is also having reasons to offset them. Interesting, well-thought out plot hooks really mark the awesome characters from the decent ones. Take your time.
To create a character profile -
- Make sure you have registered an OOC account first!
- You can post your character profile with your OOC account or character account.
- No member is allowed to have any more than one (1) work-in-progress or under-review PC application in the Character Creation sub-forum at any one time.
- Please do not post any more than one (1) PC application per fortnight (that's 2 weeks for some of you). You may post concepts in your workshop, if you have one.
- Post a new thread in this forum with the template below.
- You are welcome to add or modify the template as you like but all fields below are required.
- If you posted the character profile with your OOC account, reply to the profile with your IC account when you are done.
- Please bump your character profile if it has been completed or you have finished revisions. Do not bump the thread for any other reason, since this will put the application in the back of the moderator queue.
